I’m on holiday…

…sort of…

Hello there,

I’m on land.

Technically on holiday.

But in five days, I’m heading back to sea.

And here’s the truth: this job owns you when you’re in it.

It takes your hours, your energy, your breath.

It doesn’t ask politely, it consumes.

If you have ever worked in a job you are passionate about, maybe you know the feeling.

When you’re on, you give it everything.

And when it’s finally time to rest… you don’t even know what that means anymore.

That’s where I’m at.

So I’m doing my best to pause.

To eat well.

To stretch.

To move my body.

To stare at the mountains.

To let my nervous system know we’re safe.

It’s bittersweet.

I love this life.

I really do.

But sometimes I miss myself in the middle of it.

So this week’s reminder is simple:

Even if your break is short, make it count.

Put down the weight for a second.

Not everything has to be fully resolved for you to fully exhale.

I’ll be back soon, with a dry bag full of new stories.

Thanks for reading 🖤

Aitana

P.S. How do you rest when it’s not really over?

Reply to hello@aitanaforcen.com , I’d love to know.
