Learnings from the sea
Your brain and body adapt faster than you think
Hello there,
I’m wrapping up my first trip of the season.
Just seven days at sea, sounds manageable, right?
But here’s the part most people don’t see…
By the time I step off this ship for my five-day break, I’ll have been working over 40 days straight.
And after that?
I dive straight into another 30-day stretch.
It’s intense.
It’s brutal.
And honestly?
It’s fascinating.
I heard someone say once: “Everyone should work 30 days in a row at least once in their life."
Not forever, but to prove two things:
How much you can actually achieve in 30 days.
That your system, mental and physical, will adapt if you let it.
They weren’t wrong.
Comfort never reveals your edges.
But a controlled, intentional push?
That’s where your limits expand.
That’s where you meet the version of yourself who doesn’t crumble under pressure, but evolves under it.
If you’re curious… and wanted to push your limits (think: your own 30-day no-nonsense bootcamp), here’s what I’d tell you:
Get crystal clear on your goal. No guessing, know exactly what you’re working towards.
Ruthless energy management, pacing beats burnout every time.
Tiny non-negotiables: your stretching mat, 10 minutes of movement, your favourite playlist.
Zero expectation of perfection.
Quiet pride, because most people wouldn’t last this long.
This isn’t about hustle for the sake of it.
It’s about proving to yourself what you’re capable of, on purpose.
I don’t live like this all the time.
But every season like this?
It reminds me: my limits aren’t fixed.
Neither are yours.
When was the last time you stretched your capacity on purpose?
Send me an email to hello@aitanaforcen.com, I’d love to hear.
Thanks for reading 🖤
