Packing too much?
Hello there,
When I packed for my first contract at sea, I brought one bag.
One.
Six weeks, one suitcase, done.
Now?
I’m heading into a two-month stretch with two full suitcases, a duffel bag, and the creeping sense I may have overpacked both literally and metaphorically.
Sure, staying longer feels like it justifies bringing more...
The truth is,
The longer the journey, the more intentional you need to be about what comes with you.
More time doesn’t mean more stuff.
More responsibility doesn’t mean more clutter.
More ambition doesn’t mean more weight.
What you carry matters.
Gear.
Habits.
Expectations.
Thought loops.
Some of it helps you move.
Some of it just slows you down.
So I’m editing.
Letting go of what I don’t need.
Relearning the beauty of traveling light.
Because what’s essential doesn’t take up that much space.
Thanks for reading 🖤

P.S. What’s one thing, mental, emotional, or logistical, you’re carrying that you might not need anymore?
